Deepak Turaga

Deepak S. Turaga is the CTO of Oden Technologies, a Series B Industrial AI startup focused on providing real time process optimization recommendations to factory workers in continuous manufacturing processes such as paper and pulp, plastics, and ink. At Oden, he leads the engineering and data science teams to establish and execute the technical strategy, launch new product offerings, scale the platform, and create a solid foundation for growth. Before coming to Oden, Deepak spent a majority of his career in academic and industrial research labs, most recently as a Distinguished Research Staff Member at the IBM T J Watson Research Center managing a group of ML and AI Planning researchers. His technical expertise lies at the intersection of high volume streaming data, large scale distributed systems, and AI and ML algorithms and he has over 100 technical publications and patents in this field. He also teaches a graduate class on these topics at Columbia University. He lives in Rockland County with his wife, daughter and son, and enjoys hiking, running, and being outdoors, puttering with technology, and catching up on his ever-backlogged reading list.
