Charles Xie

Charles Xie is the founder and CEO of Zilliz, a company dedicated to developing advanced vector database technology that empowers organizations to transform unstructured data into impactful, AI-driven insights and innovations. He created Milvus, a leading open-source vector database used by over 10,000 enterprises worldwide. Before founding Zilliz, Charles was one of the founding engineers of Oracle's 12c cloud database project. He actively contributes to the open-source community and served as the chairperson of the LF AI & Data Foundation from 2020 to 2021. Charles holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
