
Chad Tetreault
Chad Tetreault is the Zscaler Federal Chief Technology Officer for AI and Governance. He provides the strategic technical guidance and leadership necessary to drive innovation for the Public Sector Go-To-Market (GTM) team and their customers. By combining a forward leaning technological vision with extensive experience in federal leadership, Chad serves as a trusted advisor for organizations in highly regulated environments, from healthcare to the Intelligence Community, as they execute critical digital transformation initiatives. Chad previously served as one of the Deputy Chief Technology Officer and Deputy Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). In these roles, he spearheaded transformative digital modernization efforts and led three pivotal Secretary of Homeland Security GenAI pilots. These initiatives delivered breakthrough AI solutions, including synthetic human like officer training systems, Neural Machine Translation capabilities, and private Model Context Protocol (MCP) services, all underpinned by robust AI security governance and enterprise guardrails. A recognized catalyst for cross-agency collaboration, Chad also contributed operational insights to the DHS Generative AI Public Sector Playbook, helping establish the national framework for responsible AI governance. Throughout his career, he has consistently driven data centric transformation, establishing new benchmarks for processing efficiency and secure, data driven operations across the federal landscape.
