Alexander Gallego

Alexander Gallego is the Founder & CEO of Redpanda and a distributed systems engineer obsessed with the craft of building fast, safe, and correct systems. Before Redpanda, Alex was the CTO and Founder of Concord Systems, which was acquired by Akamai to power large-scale CDN anomaly detection. He originally wrote Redpanda to bring the simplicity of internet-scale primitives to data streaming. Today, his obsession has shifted to building the 'Agentic Data Plane.' Alex is focused on giving the Global 2000 the connectivity, context, and governance required to deploy AI agents safely. When he isn’t thinking about logs, query engines, or AI infrastructure, he’s usually out on a mountain bike.
